Log: The Golden Standard (HAL Unification)

Overview

Cleaning up the mess. We've standardized the entire driver stack to follow the "Golden Standard" pipeline. No more silent failures or weird synchronization issues.

Technical Lowdown

  • Architecture: Enforced mandatory SYST:ERR? polling in safe_send() and query_ascii().
  • Sync: Standardized on deterministic *OPC? polling within wait_ready().
  • Examples: Reorganized 19+ examples into brand-agnostic categories and unified them all to use AUTO discovery.
  • Environment: Nuked all hardcoded simulation modes from individual scripts. It's all environment-controlled now.

Why it matters

A HAL is only useful if it's predictable. This unification ensures that whether you're using a Keysight SA or a Rigol SA, the underlying error-checking and sync logic is identical and robust.
